B&a: Which Genre Would My Book Be (+ Bqs)?

This question keeps bothering me.
My novel deals with my MC, Hilton, joining a modern nomad/hippie/travelling group for disclosed reasons. It’s not YA, because he’s 22 and it doesn’t really have many YA factors. It’s not romance, because even though some romance is present, it’s not the focus of the book. I’m thinking adventure…?
BQ: Your MC finds him(her)self in a desert with an apple. They’re chased by a lion. What do they do to get to Rome? (I don’t expect anything much. It’s just, there’s a Serbian idiom joke that goes like this.)
BQ2: Your MC is being chased around town by the law enforcement. How do they escape? Do they use magic, or cool parkour, or hide?
BQ3: What’s your MC’s favourite colour?
